Dr. Emery Engers
Dr. Emery Engers earned her Bachelors degree in Chemistry at Kalamazoo College in 2003 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University in 2007. Since graduation, she has worked continuously at high-quality companion animal practices in Troy and Rochester, before joining Commerce Village Veterinary Hospital in the summer of 2014.
Dr. Engers’ experience has fueled her passion for preventative care, focusing on partnering with clients to insure happy and healthy lives for their pets. In addition to vaccines, parasite prevention, and diagnostic testing, she looks forward to discussing nutrition, dental care, and behavioral concerns as part of each wellness visit. She also has special interests in dentistry and surgery, having completed advanced training in dental radiography as well as oral, soft tissue, and orthopedic surgeries.
As a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association, Dr. Engers stays active in her profession and regularly pursues continuing education opportunities.
A lifelong Michigan resident, Dr. Engers was raised on an Arabian horse farm in Ann Arbor, and as a youth she enthusiastically pursued her interests in showing horses and playing competitive softball. Today she resides in Troy with her two miniature Dachshunds, where she can often be found in the middle of a household “DIY” project. She also enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, and swimming in her spare time.
Erika graduated in 1999 with Honors from the Veterinary Technician Program from Macomb Community College. Since that time she has enjoyed working as a technician caring for pets and educating clients. Her areas of interest in veterinary medicine are patient care, surgery and dentistry.
Erika is the practice manager at Commerce Village Veterinary Hospital and her primary responsibility is overseeing the daily operations of the hospital.
Outside of work, Erika enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and all of her pets.
Beth’s career as a veterinary receptionist has spanned over 25 years! She loves sharing the bond between clients and their pets. She looks forward to talking with and getting to know our clients and greeting pets at the front desk with treats and smiles!
She has a special interest in dog training and loves sharing her knowledge! She has helped instruct classes of Obedience, Rally and Agility. Personally she has titled her Australian Shepherd Wylie in both Rally and Obedience and she enjoys working with him in agility and herding skills.
Beth is married and has three daughters, three Australian Shepherds, two parrots, a rabbit and a koi pond. She enjoys spending time with her family, cruising in her husband’s classic muscle car, snowmobiling, gardening and playing an active role in her church.
Sarah is a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) at Commerce Village Veterinary Hospital. She has been employed in the veterinary field since 2004 and graduated from Gwinnett Technical College in Georgia obtaining her veterinary technician degree. Her special interests in veterinary medicine are in the fields of radiology, perioperative surgical procedures and pain management, periodontal therapy, and caring for critical care patients. She looks forward to the opportunity to share her talents in caring for your pet.
Outside of the veterinary hospital you will find Sarah spending time with her husband, Josh and son, Asher who are the lights of her life! She enjoys outdoor activities as well as relaxing with her family and three cats and three dogs. Sarah also enjoys exploring her creative side and love for art and design. She loves making candles for family members and spending time with her friends at quilt club.
Dianna has lived with pets her whole life and has been working with them for the past 15 years. If it has to do with animals, especially dogs, she has an interest in it! Although she owns three adult dogs, she has a special place in her heart for puppies. If she could, she would always have a puppy in her household! In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her daughter and playing with her German Shepherds. She trains and competes in Schutzhund/IPO, Agility, and Obedience.
Dianna is currently in the Veterinary Technician program through Baker College of Flint. She fulfills many roles at Commerce Village Veterinary Hospital as she helps out at the reception desk and is a veterinary assistant.
Jaci has worked in the veterinary field since 2001. Her special interests include working with geriatric animals and radiology. She also loves assisting with exotics pets. She enjoys trying to make the veterinary experience the best it can be! She looks forward to working with you and your pet.
Outside of the hospital, dancing is her passion! She loves spending time with her fiancé and is currently working towards her veterinary technician degree.
Jenna graduated from Macomb Community College in 2007 earning her degree as a veterinary technician. She has enjoyed working with animals for over ten years. Her special interests as a licensed veterinary technician include performing professional dental prophylaxis cleanings, monitoring anesthesia and assisting in a variety of surgeries. She is excited to be able to share her talents at Commerce Village Veterinary Hospital.
Outside of the hospital Jenna loves spending time with her husband and two dogs. You may also find her in her garden!
